Theyre very high in demand, but Gamefreaks a bag of cocks sometimes, so I could totally see them ignoring it. That being said, their reasoning for no Gen 6 Mega's (Diancie withstanding) implied that they had plans to introduce more for newer generations in the future.

Yes, it should be updated to be able to hold and transfer items but we're talking same Gen here. You attach it to a Pokémon and trade them over.

That's what I do with all of my non-main games and why in real life when talking about them with people who know what I'm talking about I call my main games my "leech games" - because I take all the items via trade every time from every other copy I own.

If the Lycanrok/Zoroark fiasco is any indication they easily could lock them again.

Mega Diancie is going to absolutely terrorize OU with the first turn speed; it's biggest weakness was that it couldn't run 4 attacks because one had to be protect but that thing has nasty coverage with fairy + special edgequake, plus whatever you want to throw on it as a bonus.

110 speed and 160 spatk with it's defenses is busted as fuck. really the only checks are Scizor and ferrothorn, but everyone will just run HP Fire anyways as the 4th move since they're not limited anymore by protect.
