I didn't get to play the original but had hg/ss and it is my fav. game by far. In the original, did another entirely new map become available once you become champion? That was a huge surprise to me and one of the main reasons why I liked it so much.

Every opinion has to at least have a base on objective reality, which is why I asked, since HGSS doesn't really remove or change things too much, it only adds stuff, so unless he has a boner for the GBC visuals/sound or prefers the older mechanics (no special/physical split and such), I truly do not get it how someone can like GS but hate HGSS.

Mareepfags please go. I don't want to see any Gen IV newfags with no taste for aesthetics or atmospheric appreciation either.

Honestly the only objective thing I dislike about HGSS is that the Pokemon distribution isn't as good as it could be and the level curve could stand to be less steep so that I'm not completely steamrolling part of the game. These also came with GSC, though HGSS slightly remedied the former issue.
