Mega-Hydreigon
Ability: Pixie Proof (Immunity to Fairy-type attacks)
92/93/110/180/110/115
Making up an ability because my bro needs some saving from the Fairy menace. Alternatively, it would just have Sheer Force.
I sketched this fucker out. It was based around the idea of it getting decently faster, and the wings forming further into psuedo heads for more fire power, basing it closer to Orochi. Had the idea that the head wings could fire as an attack, or backwards as a sort of "jet" to further add to the higher speed theme. Also, dont like the idea of making it Steel like some people want. It's based off of Orochi, not Ghidorah. Dark makes more sense.
Ability: Mega Launcher
HP- 92
ATK- 125
DEF- 90
SpATK- 165
SpDEF- 110
SPD- 118
Hydreigons tricky when it comes to giving it a Mega. It's really at risk of becoming overpowered, but it does need a slight boost. Distributed some "dummy" points to SpDef over Def so its still somewhat vulnerable to chip damage from Priority moves, and since Fairy will be OHKOing it anyway.
Call me a faggot and tell me my art is shit please.
>>33253553
>It's really at risk of becoming overpowered
>at risk
>>33253574
I figured between limiting how much went into SpAtk and no boosting moves, it'd be held more in line. Maybe not, though.
>>33253584
You call that limiting? With dual STAB mega launcher? That thing is special Mega Lucario on roids.
>>33253553
Honestly, it's not overpowered simply because Fairies resist both of its STABs and are fucking everywhere.
>>33253588
Considering most Mega's gain well and above in their offenses, yes.
Also it doesn't have priority or boosting like M-Lucario does, in addition to an ability that only boosts certain moves and not all of it's STABs. It's nowhere near Lucario levels.
>>33253604
>/vp/ is actually this dumb
>>33253606
It boosts its primary STABs. It doesn't need to boost when it murders everything unboosted, and its speed is way too high.
>>33253553
I almost love your design, but what I think ultimately kills it for me is how lanky it is. Hydreigon is by no means bulky, but it should look a bit stronger. I've also never really been a fan of Hydreigon's pseudo-heads because they just look like arms reaching into "sock-puppets". I definitely think all three heads should have strong, sturdy necks, but the heads all remain the way they are. I also feel like the Hydreigon-line was gradually losing its necessity for feet, so I think it would be cool if its Mega lost them altogether.
On to the things that I like: The "wings" gradually becoming pseudo-heads? That's genius, I really, really like that idea. I also really like the idea of Hydreigon's feathers running down and covering the tip of its tail, that's a nice touch, and I'd actually think you could emphasize that more (but its fine the way it is). Also, I like what you did with the head "petals", making them look more angular makes Hydreigon look just a bit more ferocious.
Overall, I really like the direction you took this design. There's a lot of people why just seem to have no fucking clue what to do with Hydreigon because, admittedly, it's a tough design to work with as it is. Great work, Anon.
>>33253311
now thats fucking cool. Get a job at gamefreak please

252 SpA Mega Launcher Hydreigon Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 195-231 (48.2 - 57.1%) -- 42.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 140-165 (34.6 - 40.8%) -- 56.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Adaptability Lucario-Mega Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 146-172 (36.1 - 42.5%) -- 93.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 SpA Adaptability Lucario-Mega Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 290-342 (71.7 - 84.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Used Mew as a generic damage sponge, without considering meta picks. It's damage is higher than an unboosted MLucario, but still not enough to garauntee 2HKO's on neutral hits. Lucario on the other hand has the luxury of running both physical or special sets to the same degree of effect, can boost, and has priority. It's way more unpredictable by virtue of being able to run on both spectrums. Hydreigon's ability is also limited to just Dragon Pulse and Dark Pulse, where as Lucario gets literally any STAB move boosted, including Bullet Punch and Vacuum Wave. Lucario also has a stronger matchup on the meta in general.
Perhaps it could be slower, but I don't think that power level is THAT out of line on something that can't boost.
>>33253641
Well thanks. You're right, it'd look better if it wasn't so lanky. I think thats my style stubbornly just creeping up on me or some shit, iunno. Glad you like it, anon.

I haven't set foot there since.
No Tumblr either. I know 4chan likes to hate it, but I dont really have an opinion on the site one way or the other, so I might actually end up making one.

It's not hard to learn how the stat spreads work. You just add 100 points over any of the stats except HP, which have to stay the same. So for Starmie you can look up "Starmie base stats" and see they're:
HP 60
ATK 75
DEF 85
SATK 100
SDEF 85
SPD 115
So now just add 100 overall to it. You just added it to two stats, which you could give it 50/50, or 80/20, or whatever distribution you want. You can also part it out, like bumping each of its defences by 5, or something (putting small amounts of the boost into worthless stats for the mon is something gf likes to do.) See? That's all you gotta do. So you could give something +20 to each of its stats, or +50 atk and +25 def and spdef, or +13atk, +26def, +44satk, +17spd. You can even remove some from other stats and move it to another stat (like Mega Mewtwo Y removes some of Mewtwo's defence and reallocates it, or Mega Beedrill with Satk.)
>>33254309
wouldn't counterspell imply it doing damage to the enemy rather than healing you?
That's p cool too though. Nullifies fairy damage and returns 20% of it back on the attacker.

Gives it a usable Attack stat so it's not entirely helpless without Toxic or Foul Play, and still has more than enough bulk to run defensive sets. Lack of Speed is its main weakness, but also makes it a strong Curse user. The ability Lunar Shift is an improvement on its current ability Synchronize, giving it great utility without making it completely overpowered. (Whereas Magic Guard/Magic Bounce would've been too much on a Pokemon already this bulky.)

Was me, and desu, that was my favorite design for a Hydreigon Mega until I saw:
>>33253553
They're both great, but they approach the concept in wildly different ways. The one I posted focused a lot more on Hydreigon's brutality, it looks like a tanky, powerful monster. Anon's design is more sleek, agile-looking.
I personally like Anon's more, because I feel like that's a more logical progression of the Hydreigon-line.
>implying we will get new megas
>>33262304
How is it a logical progression? The line becomes bigger and bulkier with every evolution. The one you posted is way better. Anon's barely changes it aside from emaciating it, while yours develops all its features and also accounts for the loss of levitate. His only real improvement is the head motif on the wings, which still looks flat and awkward. Yours looks like a big ballistic cannon and that fits perfectly.
Your build is shite though. You faggots need to stop minmaxing so hard.
>>33262384
I'm basing my logic off the fact that Deino gradually grows more heads, and ultimately gains the ability to fly. The Anon design takes both those ideas and takes it another level by making Hydreigon faster-looking and more agile, and the wings turning into pseudo-heads it just a really cool concept to me for some reason. Is it a GREAT design? No, it needs work. But I just really liked the ideas they had.
Also, yes I was minmaxing. Mostly because I just want Hydreigon fuck shit up again.

The minute that gets added in a new gen Accelrock would be given to a shit load of poker (if you can use stone edge or stealth rock you get Accelrock) for no reason at all.

Steel/Electric with levitate is godly and overshadows the others. Ice/Elec is a good offensive combo but then you gave it -20 speed which makes it feel wasted

Yes, because Magic Bounce on a Pokemon with that much bulk would be excessive.
Give it some of the same utility of Magic Bounce, without having a Pokemon with 95/135/155 defenses that's immune to status.
