Just got a copy of SoulSilver from a pawnshop, and am thinking about what pokemon to use for a playthrough. What are some weird or unexpectedly fun pokemon to play with? Right now I'm thinking about Arbok and Steelix, I've never used them before.

Can second these. If you're patient enough to fish a Remoraid pre-National Dex, they're worth it. Great coverage even at lower levels.

I actually went to the trouble of catching a Remoraid my first SS playthrough. Octillery's fun, but it made me wish the game had less gating like the originals.
