If you train any more, you're effectively trashing all those experience points you dumped into the boxed Pokemon.

Training a team of 6 still thins out earned experience to the point where you're ~5 levels below prominent trainers' Pokemon late game, I'd say that's a fair challenge.

Any kind of Exp. bonuses fuck with that, though. Sun and Moon had some awful scaling late game. Suddenly on Poni Island I was suddenly ~7 levels below standard trainers/wild Pokemon.
