I personally have accepted my fate of never being able to play a good official Pokémon game again. Now I just look at fangame websites to see if something good comes from there. Prism was pretty great, Gaia seems good but the creator's probably never going to finish it.

storyline has been pretty lacking in the recent games, small character development, too many characters, almost nothing you do has an overall effect besides progressing the game, hugely linear, pokemon designs are underdeveloped, spent too long on a wardrobe feature instead of making better outfits, team skull and flare were jokes, pokemon arent treated as individuals, only as service tools
