No, the complaint isn't that it's an intermediary, it's that the model is almost Lycanroc-Midday verbatim with Midnight's mane added and a few color swaps. It's lazy. I don't mind how it looks in the anime. I think a lot of steam will be blown off if there's a Dawn form looking closer to Midnight appropriately.
