It might just look like day form but the night and day forms are practically identical if you look closely, so it makes sense

My problem is the same problem I had with Midday Lycanroc: its face looks so damn bored. It's just static, non emotional shit. Like a face drawn in the margin of a middle school math notebook.

It's not bad, but, then again, I'm a fan of Midday, so it stands to reason I'd like this one. I think the mane-mohawk works better on it than on Midnight, desu. Just not that big a fan of orange.

The spike on Midday's back finally has some context, in that it would have been the mohawk if it was a Dusk or Midnight form.

What I'm not understanding is the reasoning behind people's unusual distaste for Midday. I mean, if it's all about artwork facial expression, then a good chunk of Pokemon should have little to no fanbase. And I'm talking about really popular ones like Scizor or something.

I like the orange color a lot I just wish they gave it some unique features to help make it stand out. I used Lycanroc day in one of my playthroughs and was a little underwhelmed with it so I doubt I would use this one but hopefully they give it some move or ability that the others don't have.

I dunno. I sorta compare it to Eevee in that it can become something almost entirely different depending on the situation, but I've never heard Flareon versus Leafeon debates on which one is boring and which one isn't. Maybe they do happen and I just don't see, though.

Honestly, I wanted to use a Lycanroc in my run through of UltraSun when I get it, so having a new form to use is fine by me. Is it anything particularly amazing? No. But this is another Pokémon third game entry. Honestly, I feel like Pokémon fans, or at least ones on 4vhan, are never satisfied. I'll play through the game, catch em all, and move on to a different game until a new one comes out, as always.

I am curious to see it's shiny though.

It will be ash's special snowflake pokemon and you can only get one through the demo which will be shiny locked.

not happening. Dusk form was created entirely to give ash his own special lycanroc form. Olivia has day, gladion has night, so they had to think up something else for his rockruff to evolve into.

There won't be a Dawn form.

-There has been a placeholder image on Global Link for a single Lycanroc form since November when SM-PKMN were added. It has a Form-ID of 4.
The Midday form is ID=0, the midnight form is ID=1, And the only reason why they would skip 2 and 3 is if those are Totem-forms (totems are considered separate forms in the game data), since Totems don't have visible entries on Global Link. This also basically confirms that there will be a Totem Lycanroc battle in USUM, using a different form based on version.

-While it is called "Dusk" form in english, the original japanese name is basically "twilight form", which applicable to both transitions between day and night. The other languages refer to it as the twilight form as well (Zwiellicht in german, Crépusculaire in french etc.). If they inteded to have a "Dawn" form as well, they would not have named this one the "twilight" form.
