This is supposed to come from a toy who acumulated rage after being abandoned by a child, but also evolves from Shuppet. Retcon?? Lazy entry writers?? Wouldn't make more sense if it was Shuppet who came from the toy?
shuppet is the torn remains, banette is reformed
Shuppets dex entry lines up with it tho. Some old ghost tales the ghost starts small with only the feelings it died with, then as it remembers it regains its original form

>Glalie and Froslass are people who died on a mountain
>Kadabra used to be a child
>Gengar is a dead person
They're never retconning stuff like this.
Simple. The first ever Banette was the abandoned toy. Eventually enough of them were created that two met and bred, creating the first ever Shuppet. Eventually it created a population of Shuppet and "natural" Banette. The abandoned toy thing probably still happens from time to time, but chances are any wild Banette you ind is just naturally born like any other pokemon.

No. It's not a stupid Retcon.
It evolve that way, because of Game mechanics/Gameplay.
Canonically, It originally was a doll, before it became a Pokémon.

Shut up Richard

I feel the same about Kadabra. never heard the one of Gengar being a human ghost though. I think the same about Froslass, *but* Glalie and Froslass both belonging to the Snorunt line there must be a conexion there.

I'm buying these, but >>33210763 doesn't expain why they don't just breed more Banette.

There are two ways for a Banette to be born. Either is hatches as a Shuppet and eventually evolves, or a Babette grows out of an old doll.
It's not that hard. Ghost Pokemon can either be born naturally from an egg, or could be dead people/grudges too. How is that so hard for this fan base to wrap its head around?

But glalie isnt a ghost type

>tfw dex entries were considered noncanon by fans until SM.
Fucking Bronzong being able to make portals to other dimensions my ass.
>>33211002
So? It's still a dead grudge brought back in an ice boulder

>How is that so hard for this fan base to wrap its head around?
Well, I personally never heard of it and that's why I'm making this.
>Ghost Pokemon can either be born naturally from an egg, or could be dead people/grudges too.
I like this one, would expiain Banette and probably some more I'm missing. I always thought of Ghost-types as Pokemon with a conexion with other dimensions and work with their energies

I personally always considered them canon but they are hard to swallow sometimes.
