It won't happen because there's no audience for it

The people that would watch a "more mature" anime already buy the games and merchandise, so there's nothing you can sell to them.

The current anime already succeeds in its intended purpose of selling games and merchandise.

So you'd basically just be making something for people who are already fans of the series. TPC only cares about attracting new fans with the anime.
