This, as well as Salazzle, Toucannon, Araquanid, Vikavolt, and Kommo-o.

Toucannon, turtonator, kommo-o and salandit were my favorites from my first team and ribombee is definitely another one of my favorites. I really want to use drampa and golisopod too. There are actually quite a few good ones this gen considering how small the dex is.

Sun Doggie.

It kinda fits the original design of Pokemon I was always a fan of. It's a very obvious combo.

Rockruff. Part rock, part ruff(dog)

And it evolves into Lycanroc, part lycan, part rock. You can argue that Lycan is like a wolf, dog, werewolf thing, and that's fair, but the Lycanroc sun variant looks like a wolfdog anyways. It looks cool, the pallet isn't a weird mis-mash of clashing colors that current pokemon are made of. The name sounds straight out of gen1, the design is simple yet detailed. I'd love to see a sugimori style picture of it.


It's also nice because it feels like it'd be a good pet pokemon too. I like the design, the dex entries, the split evolution (even if I dont like moondoggie). I'm not even a furfaggot or anything, I would just love to be on an adventure with rockdoggo and see the world.

I know it's been pushed as a Mascotmon a lot, but it's really cute, the story behind it is really sweet, and it's really fun and versatile in competitive play, with a load of gimmicks, without being either overpowered or shit.

What i think about all the Alolan pokemon. Nobody probably cares that much, but whatever.

Rowlet: It's fine, I like it, it's cute
Dartrix: i didn't like him at all when he was revealed, but he grew on me a bit
Decidueye: The starter i used, and my favourite comparatively, but it's meh
Litten: Loved it when it was revealed, still a cutie
Torracat: It's ok, paws a little too fat and looks kinda awkward
Incineroar: FUCKING BARAS!! jokes aside,i really don't like his design and was pretty disappointed when he was revealed, but i can see the appeal
Popplio: I was fine with it, it grew on me over time
Brionne: Brionne was a red flag for me. When i saw it i feared what it could become
Primarina: I expected worse, still don't like it, but its better than i though
Pikipek: It's a cute regional bird, was bummed to find out it didn't have another type like talonflame did to make it more interesting
Trumbeak: Ugly and annoying in my opinion. Trumpbeak though
Toucannon: I appreciate that Trumbeak turned into this majestic angry birb. Wish it was more colorful and not mymomstoucan, but its pretty good.
Yungoos: Nothing spectacular, the details about it being imported was pretty interesting
Gumshoos: Drumpf
Grubbin: It's cute and i like bug/electric types
Charjabug: It looks weird but that cry is fantastic and its cute
Vikavolt: Oh boy, this is one of my favorite designs from Alola, but never has a number hurt me so much. Fucking 43 man
Crabrawler: My only gripe with it are that the eyes are off for me but thats just personal preference i guess
Crabominable: Oh boy this one, this is my least favourite mon from gen 7 by a longshot. The derpiness doesn't do it for me and i cry at the lost potential whenever i see some fan interpretations of it
Oricorio: The idea is interesting and the designs are ok, but theyre pretty weak
Cutiefly: It's adorable and i was happy to find it had good stats when it evolved
Ribombee: Feels like a middle evolution, but again its pretty good

I think it's easier to say which Pokemon I don't like desu. Granted when there's only 80 mons it's hard for there to be too many bad ones, but this was a great gen all around.

Favorite is Oranguru because he's a motherfucking Orangutan and Orangutans are great. Kind of wish it were more viable in comp (maybe Instruct will be busted with if we get a VGC '16-esque ubers meta, but it's kind of useless in Singles)
