I agree. They're always the "Route-2" mon that everyone temporarily throws on their team as an HM slave, then once they get to the first gym and the damn thing gets raped the player realizes how shitty it is and then they box it.

I tried my damndest with Persian. It can't learn anything, and the very nche moveset it CAN learn is still chitty on it because its attack is not high enough, and there are simply other pokemon that can do its job better, its so frustrating when you actually want to use a pokemon that is complete garbage.

To all those anons to whom I am too lazy to reply. Most Pokemon are based on a hodge-podge of different animals, objects, people, and concepts, rarely just one of these. Pyroar and Solgaleo have the strongest single animal basis (lion), while Luxray seems to take inspiration from something like four different feline family members.
