I've begun to have dreams of my parents, siblings, past teachers, friends, and even some cartoon characters screaming at me. I thought nothing of it the first time it happened. I have weird dreams all the time. But recently its just been like fucking fever dreams. All of these people huddled around me and screaming what seem to be insults at me but I can barely make them out.

That's actually a good thing. Finding a way to tell you're dreaming is the first step to lucid dreaming. When I dream time skips around a lot, i.e. it randomly turns from day to night or I find myself in a different room. When I notice that I'm able to take control of my dream a little.
