What are some pokemons that greatly benefited from gen 4 special/physical split? Is there a super standout one?
gyarados and tyranitar

Gengar and Misdreavus/magius, to name a few. Imagine a world where banette is the only ghost that can properly use shadow ball. Scary.

I don't know, why don't you think about it yourself instead of clogging the board with pointless threads?
>>33154636
this is actually a better thread than most of the shit on here
fuck off
>>33154636
Sorry, I'll make another waifu thread shortly.
>>33154591
All the pre gen 4 starters except sceptile
>>33154591
>gen 4
don't you mean gen 3?
>>33154591
Sneasel, azumarill, himonchan, Salamence, dragonite
Sceptile was shafted hard instead
>>33155226
gen 4 energy ball is stronger than gen 3 leaf blade though
>>33155162
No dipshit because the physical special split was a Diamond and Pearl thing.
>>33155300
Not if you liked playing a critmas tree
>>33155162
>gen 3 physical/special split
Romhacks don't count, genius.
Shadow moves don't count, either.
I guess Regice got shafted
Most Dark types got a boost

Basically, Pokemon whose STAB moves didn't correlate with their attack stats. For example, Gengar was built to be a special attacker, but both ghost and poison were physical.

Agreed. Discussion on the evolution of game mechanics is cancer.
