Crazy find from the other day. Took over 22,000 but well worth in the end
How does it feel being high functioning autistic?

They stopped being special a decade or so ago.

I miss the days where shiny hunting was synonym of being a hardcore Pokémon player...

Barely anyone likes shinies for the different color, it's the satisfaction of getting something rare
That said, I'll never spend time shiny hunting. I prefer getting them randomly in the wild because that makes them feel kinda special
I caught this on Gold, can barely even tell it's a Shiny though. At least once it's a Furret it will be unmistakably pink

Are you a bad enough dude to Shiny hunt AND make sure it has a good nature?

How does it feels to know that you won't be able to evolve him into Froslass?
>>33148952
breeding for shinies was really easy on GSC because shinyness was tied to IVs and you could use a glitch to get a shiny ditto if you traded your shiny red gyarados back to RBY, I had a full shiny team
>>33147399
technically GF programmed this game for that

What's the difference between injecting and hunting/sr-ing for one. You're guaranteed to get one using both methods, one just takes more time. Ruins the magic. Tried chaining for one once and when I found it I felt nothing.

I have college and a job, but I still manage to do some Shiny hunting on the side when I feel like it. It's just a hobby, there's really no reason to judge people for it.
I can't get into shinys as being special unless you encounter them randomly, and still then they are special only to you since it was your experience. Luckily this happened to me four times in my life.
Like >>33149392 said, hunting is still setting yourself out to obtain one, but the method just makes you miserable. Injecting is the better option here imo, but neither cases make them "special".
The other scenario is events that give you the shiny version of an otherwise shiny-locked legend/mythical. Those are special if you prefer having that over the shiny placeholder you injected years ago to satisfy the desire.
