Op clearly acknowledged joycons have gyro. You should learn to read before throwing insults. Yes flipping the joycons is a simple solution, but it doesn't let you physically see an upside down inkay unless in handheld mode with joycons attached

OP here. This wasn't really the case, but like I said, if you're playing in table top mode or on the TV, that's the main problem, since the switch itself has no gyro. Plus, I think that the Gyro on the Joycons are not very sensitive when they're upside down (they have this weird syncing thing like the Wii Motion Plus did where it would reset when there's no motion detected.) I think it would be a less risky and wiser decision to have it evolve if you're undocked but I'd much rather see that on a new Pokemon.

Realistically, if the Joycon Gyro Controls aren't enough for GameFreak, they'll just make a new "Trade while holding this" Item to evolve Inkay into Malamar.
