Agree 100% on this OP. The least they could have done is give Karen a Pupitar or Tyranitar as her signature Pokémon so you'd at least know that it existed before Mt. Silver. & they should have given Morty a Misdreavus too.

I agree with morty but imo they did larvitar right. It was a hidden reward for becoming the strongest trainer in the game, like a prize. Not everything needs to be seen as you play the story.
