I am 0 for 15 wit most of my throws being excellent, curve ball, and golden razzberry. Why the fuck is the catch rate so low? even 10% would be appreciated considering you pretty much have to pay for them.

Haven't had the chance to try a legendary raid today, but I did find a wild Blissey, which was nice. I've never even seen a Chansey before. Too bad it's 218 and has shit IVs.

Also found a Larvitar, Totodile, Bulbasaur, Chikorita on my run. Have they increased the chances of getting rarer Pokemon for the event? If so that's really great news.

You can't rush the evo animation.
Usually people name the Pokemon to something that'll get sorted by name to the top of the list so that they don't have to spend time scrolling.

60 isn't bad for a newbie attempt but you definitely should've gotten a lot more if you used a Lucky Egg while the event exp bonus is going on.

It's not spoofing they detect, it's moving too fast. It gives you a softban.

So, a tactic my wife and I use to get just a tiny bit of extra XP out of our mons, when we have a mon we would otherwise get rid of, we rename them name instead. Then use them to battle at gyms, usually even shitmons can get past one or two fights, then we just transfer them at 0HP rather than reviving or healing them. It's even more effective now, since even a lost battle lowers the enemy stamina a little bit. It gets some XP and the waves of low attackers softens the gym a little bit for our real mons to take it down more easily.

Also, it's a fun image dumping a pile of dozens and dozens of 0hp Pigettos and other low-tier pokemon at Willow like so much compost.

I did the math, 0.02 catch rate, according to go hub golden razz increases your catch rate by 25% 0.02 x 0.25 = 0.025 = odds of 1 catch for every 40 successful throws, about 75 successful throws and most with at least a great bonus if not excellent (no way to be 100% certain the spin registered as a curveball unless it catches as I'm not very good at them and a miss is not worth it with limited balls) and gold medal in flying and psychic, silver in ice, I should have caught at least 1, probably 2, 3 if you round the odds up.

The worst part is one person in the group caught every single one and one of the articunos was on the first ball with a pinap, about four of our group of almost 30 got none. Hopefully tomorrow after work my time will come, I just want them for dex completion and because articuno's been my favorite legendary since I was 6 and the movie gave lugia a connection to the kanto birds so from a lore standpoint they're all pretty cool, couldn't care less if they're useless.

I name all of my throwaways (rattata, pidgey, marill, etc) with the number 1. They're automatically at the top of the list. I name all of my keepers 2. I can blast through about 60-70.

As for rushing the animation, you can actually, x out of the stat screen of the newly-evolved mon before it finishes it's cry. It saves a few milliseconds, but it adds up to an extra three evos if you do it right.

Niantic can't manage to understand the gradients of type effectiveness and the overlap for dual types. It's fucking annoying. When something should be 4x effective, it's still only 2x effective. When something should have immunity, it just says "not very effective".
