Backwards compatibility is not gonna be a thing for any console going forward because 1) it's much easier to make a new CPU than it is to just build on top of the old one, meaning you have to emulate previous generations, meaning you have to have a ridiculously powerful console and 2) there's a lot of money to be made in "remasters" and re-releases.

It sounds like your complaints are just about the modern technology and games industry, not Nintendo. People have been demanding Nintendo become more like Sony and Microsoft for 15 years now, this is what you get.
