Okay, let's get this straight.
Gen 1: Good. Kind of boring. "Just gets bigger." I'd say 6/10
Gen 2: Once again, just good. A bit more variety in the species of them, but we're still getting that "just gets bigger" vibe. 5/10
Gen 3: Okay so Torchic's evo is great, an actual evolution that carries themes and develops them. Mudkip and Treecko are both kind of...eh. 6/10
Gen 4: LOVE Empoleon, who cares about the other two. I do like that they're based on more specific animals (like Gen 3 was), so I'd give them a 5/10
Gen 5: what the fffuc k like what the fuc k happened. I like that they're based on specific animals and not just "they are dinosaurs," but good lord...I feel like the final designs are really, just...a lot. Snivy's final evo is just....I HATE the yellow design on it, it's too much. Emboar's and Samurott's too. Just bad. I'd give these a 2/10.
Gen 6: LOOOVE the concept of like, a mage, a knight, and a thief. It's so cool. The designs of Delphox and Greninja are AWESOME, but Chesnaught's kind of sucks. Very random. I'll give them an 8/10.
Gen 7: Perfect in every single way, 10/10. Went to a place I super didn't expect at all, but in an awesome way. An archer, wrestler, and siren were really interesting places to go, and I feel like if I could say something bad about them, it would be that Incineroar is a little over designed, but I don't hold it at a fault. Decidueye is GENIUS. The design and typing are so fucking good. Primarina's is too. We've needed a mermaid pokemon for a while and it was done SO well. 10/10.
