I suppose the battle system was quite innovative. :^)

It's kinda fun, it just has a lot of wasted potential and some frustrating aspects to it. At the time, legendaries seemed interesting until I saw the catch rate. Update helped me get lots of coins. Still haven't spent a dime.

Eagerly waiting for gen III whenever they feel like putting it in.

People fell for what started as an april fools joke and thought that was seriously going to be close to what the final game was like. Instead of doing research into the actual company making it. All the hype initially was clearly fad territory but you still had some people saying it would get better.

It never got any better and more reasonable people should have known that it wouldn't translate to any major changes for the core series. If only because if it was a long term success there would just be two series going on at once, similar to the mystery dungeon games.
