I am actually pretty sorted now, I have a folder for fanart and official art and in game screenshots, and a separate one for in game screenshots of the overworld. And another for comparison images for potential threads. And a folder for images from /vp/

Since I usually go through an artist's whole gallery if I like their work my folders are sorted by artist and then tagged with characters/Pokemon. That was the plan anyway, but I got lazy and now I'm way behind on tagging.

I currently have folders for:

I only have 10 major Pokemon folders: one for each generation (usually Pokemon art goes in there), a trainer folder, a spinoff-themed art folder, and a "mixed" folder. But then I use tags to sort from there, so I can just search for a keyword and see everything that matches from all of those folders together. I can't imagine having to manage any more folders with 16k files.

If you've got a lot of subfolders you'll probably find you have way more dupes than you think. Takes minutes and lets you compare which dupe has the higher quality/resolution/size etc.

I have a folder for Pokémon inside a main image folder, and inside the Pokémon one I have folders labeled as follows: Comics, Cringe, Cute, Funny, Guzma, Random, vp fakemon.
Aside from the folders in the Pokémon folder, I also have images of Pokémon art, the shit you see on Bulbapedia and other stuff.
I keep my reaction images inside a separate folder under "Reaction" and then inside "Pokemon"

I'd say I have a bad case of imagetism.

Damn, I feel you anon. At my hardrive's best moments I had over 10 folders for catrgories with 15-20 folders in each for artists and misc. I even made a fucking notepad guide with instructions in how to organize future pics that I downloaded in case I ever came across a rare case of a pic with various categories.

Thank you for that. Some of my folders are getting out of hand and I've been trying to organise lately, so that's really handy. Having to sort nearly 4 gigs of stuff is pretty intimidating, so anything that makes it bearable is awesome.

I just forget what I've saved, so if I see a picture I like, I just save it again. I guess it's testament to my taste being consistent?
