Are Magearna and Ash-Greninja good?

I only ever play Smogon for the first month or so of a new generation to test out new mons, before I then proceed to play on Rated Battlespot for the rest of the generation, and I never really got around to using Magearna and Ash-Greninja since they're banned in the official formats, so testing them would have been a waste of my time.
