Do you guys tranfer all your important mons when a new game/generation

I transfer my entire living dex and restore my save so i have the living dex in the past gen just in case

I have the same fucking rayquaza that I caught in original sapphire all the way to diamond, platinum, black, black 2, X, Alpha sapphire where it finally mega evolves and its kicking E4 ass on sun, cant imagine my post game without it

I literally clone mine so I can keep them on all my games.

Living Dex since Diamond/Platinum has always been transferred up once the new game's regional Dex is complete.

Unfortunately, everything from before 2006 was lost due to game batteries shitting themselves and wiping the files on their own.

It's been almost 12 years since you were taken away from me, Sceptile, and I still miss you...

I don't transfer my mons and I delete my saves.

Every generation since rse I've had a dedicated game and a game I reset for version exlusives / trades and such. Every new game I transfer all pokemon from my dedicated game to my new game and leave exactly 6 lvl 100 pokemon; these pokemon are always: the three starters, 'the dragon', and a matching set of version exclusives (zangoose seviper, or clawitzer and dragalge).

This lets me keep all my buddies with me (as far back as buddies from 06) in my newest game but also allows me to pick up older versions and play through the elite four / fly around the map for a bit to feel the nostalgia.

I don't really 'keep' a living dex. I end up transporting around 300-400 pokemon each new game anyway so I just fill in the holes each time.

I transfer my shinies, some of my ingame team, and my battle-ready online pokemon, so most of my important pokemon. But I always leave a couple of my bros and a few high level pokemon in case I need them and because I don't want to separate the MC from all his friends.
