Wasn't Sun & Moon also a cash grab? They rushed them out for the 20th anniversary year when they weren't really finished. They had very little to show us when they started promoting it compared to X&Y.

I've hoped that USUM will be complete games worth buying, but I doubt it. They haven't bothered to promote them at all like they expect everyone already knows whether they're going to buy them or not.

The declining standards are far more likely to be related to the 20th anniversary than needing to get a Switch game out soon but not so soon they'd do it in the release year of the console.
