I think flying type is correct, wind and air types sound like they were able to control the air, but they aren't about that, they're about doing attacks that involve flying, sky would work but it doesn't sound quite right as flying does.

if anything i would like for them to change rock type to mineral type, since a lot of the rock type also involves minerals, such as gigalith and alolan golem, plus moves like power gem
also grass type sounds kinda off... vegetable or plant could work better i think

"Flying" as a type was originally meant to be a property or characteristic, not an element of its own.
That's why there were no pure Flying types. Something is Normal, and also part Flying. Or Fire, and also has wings so its Flying. Flying was an accessory to a "main" type.
