Don't tap the little smiley at the center of the map denoting the player, which is also the inane stuff button, touch anywhere else on the map instead. Also, don't touch the black between the eyes, which opens the Pokedex, or the red frame, which just does silly animations.

Not at all, I liked the idea because I figured it would be their way of listening to feedback about not liking the more "closed" areas of Gen V and VI but still having an easy way to have little kids be able to get back to the task at hand, but no the areas are even worse

at least I like the inane stuff

The RotomDex is completely useless in the game. It literally does nothing but giving you obvious hints about your next destination and that's it.

I really miss the PSS to be honest.
