some of them are great, some of them are shitty
the point isn't how good they are though, the point is that you got to experience one

I wonder trade it and make someone happy at random. Or, I post on /vp/ in a shiny thread and offer it to someone for a one-sided trade. I don't trade for shinies unless they're ones from events I missed, since I prefer my OT on rare shit like that. I've wonder traded about 30~ shinies by now, including a level 10 Salamence (Thanks Route 3).

I treasure it the same as my other shinies, since a shiny caught by myself is more special to me than a traded one.
Even something as ugly as Watchog would have a special place in my collection if it were some random encounter shiny that I caught.
