The whole machop line is slightly reptilian. Machop has a tail, Machoke has that lizard snout, and Machamp has a break, like many reptiles and dinosaurs. Not to mention they all have those reptilian head crests. Not sure why Machamp has a break instead of just continuing the snout, but whatever.

In conclusion, the Machamp is a lizard person and secretly runs the government.
