It was actually pretty good in Gen 4 Ubers and 2009 VGC. It shuts down Kyogre pretty hard and Spores everything which comes in afterwards. No Sleep Clause means that this shit can be rather annoying.

Parasect is one of my highest leveled pokemon in my main Moon file just because I was using it it as a mon catcher for almost the entire game.

Well coil+Intimidate isn't too bad (in lower tiers that is), it's just slow and dies to any super-effective hit even at +2 defense, not even taking special hits into account here.
