imagine you could introduce another entry hazard that works like stealth rocks, but for a different type.

what type would you choose?

I lean towards fire to nerf steel types, but ice is also really tempting

ICE type I reckon. It needs a buff

Ice Type Black Ice.
Any mon that has a speed stat below 100 has 1/10th of their HP cut whenever they attack.
Below 120, 1/5th is lost.
Below 140, a 1/3rd is cut away.
Above 140, half of their HP ends up gone.
It only lasts for 5 turns, though.

Ice really needs a buff. Give them something like

They'd hit every Pokemon, but the damage would be based on how big the difference between the Pokemon's highest and lowest stat was.

0-100 Point difference, you take 1/16th
51-100 Point difference, you take 1/8th
101-200 Point difference, you take 1/4th
201+ Point difference or higher you take 1/2th.

It exists not save any one type of Pokemon, but to save the Pokemon that aren't minmaxed monsters.

send out a steel hazard to handle both rock and ice setters, which encourages a hazard for steel weakness, which encourages a hazard for those, etc etc etc

a beehive would be the most amazing bug entry hazard I could imagine. too bad it wouldn't see much use

Stealth Hive could always be a fun surprise pick, considering how bug is probably one of the least run types, so it getting absorbed isn't as big an issue.

A water entry hazard.

Hydroplane

A swift current rushes across the opposing side of the battle field. When an opponent sends in a pokemon it "slips" aka hydroplanes and takes damage.

No clue what the damage formula for it should be though. I imagine flying/levitate pokemon would be immune.
>>
Weed Pollen
Works exactly like Stealth Rocks except it does not effect Grass types and Pokemon with Overcoat or Magma Armor.
Can be removed with Gust, Defog, Ominous Wind, Fairy Wind, and Silver Wind.
Moves such as Hurricane, Razor Wind, Gyro Ball, and Icy Wind activates the Hazzard as on both side of the Battlefield as if the Pokemon just entered. However, the hazzard does not get layed on both sides of the field by this effect.

Stealth rock itself is already a mistake though. I'd change stealth rock. 1/4 if you're not grounded, 1/12 if you are. Simple and effective, and now there's no more of this "lose half your health for existing" bullshit. And it helps deal with everyones favourite flying lion.

As for a new hazard, dark type one that taunts incoming pokemon. Rage Signal or something.
Some men just want to see the world burn.
>>
>>32987244
Ghost is a physical type, Sinnohfetus
>>
I like the idea of new hazards as long as theyre done like the spikes and the net, not like cancer rocks
>Burning Ground
>Deals the same damage as 2 layers of spikes
>Fire types can absorb it, if they do, they get a boost on their special attack

>Cold Crystals
>deals 1/12th of the pokemons total hp
>Slows down airborne pokemon and water type pokemon that are not part ice by 2 stages
>Can be removed by using a fire type move or being hit with a fire type move.

>Desolate Darkness
>Pokemon that switch in Desolate Darkness have their attack lowered by 1 stage
>Can be removed by using any move related to the sun/light or by haze

I wanted to do the beehive idea, were the pokemon is hit everytime they use a phisical attack.

I don't think gf will make another entry hazard, at least not without nerfing sneaky pebbles
I mean, pebbles + ice pebbles means garchomp, landorus, dragonite, fug, yveltal and a lot more of pokemons would get a +50% damage without making a move; sash smeargle would be in every team, it'd be a memefest and I'd love it, but gf isn't that retard I hope; would espeon/xatu make it to OU? MegaSableye to Ubers is obvious, I can see a lot of priority spammers and scarfers rising in this scenary too
>>
>>32987475

This is probably the best Type to use for a new SResque hazard. Ice would be too broken and Grass doesn't need a need. This way Lando still gets punished and a bunch of other stuff too. But it REALLY fucks over Fire types.
>>
>Stealth Fists plus Stealth Iron
>Knocks out Aurorus instantly.

>>32987571
