Huntail should be the pink one and Gorebyss should be the blue, right? That's what the translators called them but the programmers mixed them up, right? I just can't like them until someone fixes this mess.

I read one theory that the deepsea scale evolves the pink part of clamperl into gorebyss, and the deepsea tooth evolves the blue part of clamperl into huntail. It doesnt answer your question at all but I like the idea.
