Iv being playing since the 90s so I make a point of using weak or disliked mons to keep it interesting. Currently on a Sun playthrough with finneon and hoping to start a game with a farfetched soon.

Caterpie had a worse movepool and lower BST than Magikarp prior to Platinum, where it got Bug Bite.

I'd assume when you play with stantler you use it for the combo of hypnosis + confuse ray + STAB stomp flinch. Not the most ideal mon but it might be fun for a mononormal run.

Considering it also has semi-decent 85 SpA and being a normal type gives it all kinds of crazy TM shit, you can even go mixed with thunderbolt, energy ball, psychic and stuff.

It's Klingklang. The worst Pokemon is Klingklang. Its ugly, it's part of a terrible, uninspired line, and it has a terrible name. Palpitoad, Cryogonal, and Incineroar are all pretty terrible as well, but for the bottom of the barrel worst, I think Klingklang has it.

Nosepass and its evolution have the absolute worst design in game

Bibarel is pretty shit so is Stunky. Conkeldurr is hard to look at. Foongus is a fucking a pokeball designed mushroom with a pig concept. Klink is a failed Magnetime. The ice cone pokemon that nobody cares about. The list goes on and on. Theres a lot of bad starter pokemon look at Empoleon. Its fucking garbage and the tranny seal.

People give the Vani-line shit but it is largely unjustified. Consider there was only one solid ice Ice-type prior to it's introduction, Regice. Well received, favored over its trio partners, imitating regice seems the way to go for ice design.

Fast forward to Unova, the US of A is well known for helping spread soft-serve internationally. This regions core Ice-types are decided to be a 3 part lineage, solo Ice, can be found realistically near/inside urban centers and as well as the boondocks. So you as a designer consider Regice and decide it has to contrast the impersonal, beautiful yet soulless, geometric snowflake design that is Cryogonal. You draw faceted icicles + snow mounds add eyes and call it a day
