Unless GameFreak rushes it completely, it won't happen. USUM isn't even out yet and the hardware shift from the 3DS to the Switch is a major one, they won't have the time to finish USUM and the first games of Gen 8 in a year and a half's time.

Diamond and Pearl were announced two years before they were launched so that doesn't mean a damn thing. The only sole reason they announced it at E3 was for damage control from the backlash USUM got for being on the 3DS.

Gen 7 doesn't have a mystery dungeon yet, so it will most definitely come out on Switch before Gen 8 does.
