That's seriously just too cute. It's times like this I feel sad there was no split evo for the starters, only because of the thought of alts interacting between each other. I did have my kerfuffle on liking specifically Primarina and it being the sole evolution, but seeing this design, I wouldn't mind having both at all because they go surprisingly well together. The idea of differing alternate paths/jobs/themes for a starter does make my almonds think. But maybe alternate evolutions is too much of a complex method for the starters and too much of a burden design wise since it implies coming up with more monster designs and extra programming. I'm not sure how USUM will be, but knowing Game Freak, it'll most likely be like how BW2 was to the original BW.

It's a shame since Rockruff does indeed have his two forms, even if they weren't exactly the way how we pictured it to be (version exclusive and still requiring either day or night rather than day/night dependent on all versions).
