they should redo some shinies from when it was just next palette's colour scheme, while some ended up good a lot are dogshit (mostly those that change colouring mid-line are got turned into puke green or Swampert purple)

Being at low enough health for Torrent to activate happens way more often than someone using Explosion/Self-destruct, so no, it's not inferior.

It's ability is still damp on the turn its sent out so it can block an explosion, torrent does nothing for the mega build.

Except that he's using Mega Swampert which he'ok want to evolve straight away. Damp allows it to get a safe switch in on an Explosion, Torrent does nothing.
