What if Nintendo goes full autism and "restarts" the franchise again, doing what they did back in gen 3?
You may say "that's stupid why would they do something so vile", well, they could introduce a system where your games are registered to your Nintendo ID, so only those games registered can transfer pokemon WITH a new app....that has a fee.

What did you mean by this? In terms of quality, GSC is closer to RSE despite being able to trade with RBY.
The only thing that makes Gen 1 and 2 seem similar is that they run on the same systems and are compatible, and that most Gen 2 Pokemon were created along with Gen 1 Pokemon.
