I genuinely believed that Taurus could evolve this gen because it was the first pokemon I caught in Moon that didn't share a dex page with only its evolutions and I hadn't seen Miltank yet.

Game Freak really should have created a baby form of these two Pokemon in Gen II.

In Gen II, we already had two Generation I Pokemon that are split evolutions alongside a Gen II Pokemon (Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop, respectively).

This is the awkward bullshit that perpetuates Miltank and Tauros not even breeding each other's eggs.
