Torn between slice-of-life and Mystery Dungeon. Can we split the difference and do an ErlSana Playhouse adaptation?

21 Independent episodes based off of different Pokemon categories and the relationships the groups would have with each other. 18 for each respective type; 1 for starter pokemon; 1 for the less influential legendaries; 1 for the big legendaries and then the final 3 is a small arc that focuses on a small plot relating between the focal Pokemon of the previous 21 episodes.

A series of standalone episodes dealing with more mundane events of the Pokemon world, rather than those revolving around the wunderkind protagonists or other major characters like rivals or regional champions, or major operations of the villain teams. A bit like Generations in format, but different in focus. Less central named characters could still make appearances, like let's say Bill or Mr. Briney or the professors. You could frame episodes around something like the television companies of the Pokemon world doing various programmes, like interviewing somewhat famous people about their work (like those mentioned) or ordinary people, like Bug Catchers spending the day in the woods, or Bird Keepers training their Pokemon, or the activities of Triathletes/Swimmers. Or do a documentary-type episode that focuses more on the Pokemon rather than human characters.

Throw in some action for good measure by including sports programme-style coverage of some official league-sanctioned battles.

A series following a young Lt. Surge and his Pikachu in "the war" in PokéVietnam, fought, of course, entirely with Pokémon.

Series ends with him finding a Thunderstone, evolving Pikachu in Raichu, and moving to Vermillion City in Kanto and opening a gym instead of returning to America after the war ends.

Well a lot of parts of mangas get cut from the anime adaptation and, in my opinion, there wouldn't be much value lost if you cut out pretty much all of yellow except for the ending. It would be kinda like an epilogue for the first season, about 4 or 5 episodes long.

Slice of life character-driven cartoon about a small country town in Hoenn. The show is focused mainly on how Pokemon interact with the humans in their daily lives, from the helpful (Staryu helping water plants etc) to the not so helpful (wild Tailow eating crops ect). Follows about 4 major characters and 10 or so secondary ones, with firm episode-to-episode continuity as they tackle problems and develop their relationships. Very little battling. Near the end of the series, a "game protagonist" character comes through and everyone gets excited to have a real gym challenger visiting their town, leading to a series of battles in which the protagonist effortlessly bodies everyone's teams of 1-3 unevolved shitmons, including one of the main characters who prided himself on being the best trainer in the village. The final arc is him regaining his confidence in time for the annual town battle festival, which is the final episode of the show, culminating in a climactic battle with his childhood rival, another one of the PoV characters. The episode ends on the final clash and the winner is never revealed.

Plot ideas:
• A storm is coming (implied to be simultaneous to Kyogre's rampage near Sootopolis), and everyone has to help out to get the berry harvest before it's ruined.
• A mass migration of Zigzagoon causes all manner of mischief as they overrun the town.
• A mystery in which a villager is attacked and a family heirloom stolen, following all the characters as they search for clues.
• One of the PoV characters thinks he catches a glimpse of a legendary Pokemon in the woods, but can't convince anyone it's true. Despite attempts, they don't find the legendary Pokemon, but they do find a footprint they've never seen before, causing them to believe.

1. An adaptation of either RBY or BW. Both boy and girl protagonists would make appearances, with both playing important roles to the plot. Added characterization to the main characters.

* For RBY, finish gyms at around episode 16, then have a tournament arc for Victory Road/Elite Four. If anyone has read Festival of Champions, something similar to that

* For BW, strong characterization should be main focus.

2. Festival of Champions-like story, focusing only on a Victory Road/Elite Four type Tournament Arc with characters from all 7 generations; delves into backstory of Red/Blue

3. Story into the Trainer journey of Prof. Oak

Mainichi no TRAINER GIRL/Female Trainer Misadventures
Random 5-7 minute skits about the everyday lives and sometimes intersecting lives female Pokemon trainers. Major ones like Diantha, Hilda or Lorelei are covered but sometimes there are episodes about Picnickers, Rangers, Lasses and even Hex Maniac get a shot in the spotlight..
