So I've been wondering, what're some interesting move/ability

So I've been wondering, what're some interesting move/ability combinations that we'll only be able to get via transferring from the Gen II VC games? There's the fact we're gonna get HA Johto legendaries, and comparatively easier access to HA Johto starters, but what else is there? Sure, there're the elemental punches, but we all know those are gonna return as move tutors. Same with Giga Drain and Icy Wind, too. There's also the factor of Curse being available as a TM, but the IVs are a crapshoot when transferring and hoping for a "no good" speed IV.
Otherwise, as someone who was too busy to get into any of Gen VI but got Sun last autumn, I'm thinking it'll be a bit easier to get some HA Pokes without trading, like Hoothoot, Heracross, or Quilfish. I do wonder, however, if the red Gyarados will stay shiny when transferred, since I hear the way shinies are calculated differ greatly between Gen II vs. Gen III-onwards.
