Alolan Octillery is a slimmer and taller Octillery in blue and yellow color. It has fins on its side of its head like the handles of a turret(?). I had a hard time drawing Remoraid from scratch but it's colored red and yellow.

Sevii Islands return. Each region has its own sevii type island chain connected to it (beside aloha, which just has an extra island connected). These islands cannot be accessed until the post game.

Online mode Is huge. You enter an online arena (GTA online style) and roam around the region with other players. You can battle, trade or join each other's "Battle Groups". Battle groups can fight each other in tournaments. I don't know much more as of now.

Megas are only used in Kalos region. Ultras are eliminated completely.

I dont think most people realize just how much of the story would have to be changed
It isnt just swapping one out for the other, Whole routes are designed around the trial sites, half the random npcs talk about their time with the island challenge, Hau's entire character arc depends on the system since he wants to outgrow the shadow of being the Kahunas grandson, Kukui wanting Alola to be known all over the world with you being the first champion of a brand new League, etc.

Esentially, they'd have to rewrite the whole story, change up half the npcs dialogue, etc.

It would be less effort on GFs part to make it a full sequel

Also the champion being a returning character from another game is something I dont see them doing, since GF wants each region to have their own identity
Lance was the Champ of Gen 2, but Kanto was an integral part of that game, and the League itself was in the Kanto region, I just dont see them bringing in a character from another game to represent this region, especially since the plot is how you became the first champion yourself

Umbra Evolution exists and it's a combination of Z-Moves and Mega Evolution, though Umbra Evolution is only applicable to Solgaleo and Lunala. A specific Z-Crystal which originated from Necrozma are given and activates when the Z-crystal is twisted. Solgaleo and Lunala will umbra evolve to Ultra Solgaleo/Lunala by letting Necrozma attach itself to its host through the Z-crystal. As for new megas, there are none.

Sorry but with how little info has come out its like SM all over again. A specific Z-Crystal given to you which originated from Necrozma and activates when twisting, as seen in the video. Ryuki is a Dragon-type user and is the last gym leader in the game. He plays in a band with a few other members and disbands it right after you defeated his gym. I had a really hard time drawing these so please know that these might not be exactly the same as the one in the games. Phanpy is colored light yellow, almost faded yellow and has pigtails for ears. The pigtails are colored brown and the tip is green. Donphan, on the other hand, is light green colored with faded gray trunks. It has a huge dent on its back for riders. Its ears are larger than before and half of it covered in leaves, dragging them across the a ground. Alolan Donphan is significantly taller than the regular one. Again, these sketches are just a general idea of what I remember from the games and may not look exactly the same upon official release.

The Pikachu Park is merely just a commemoration for Pikachu. It's a place where you can give leave your Pikachu and its happiness and level will once increase. Like a daycare exclusive for the Pikachu line. There is also minigames you can play in it for items, similar to Kahili's golf minigame but these are not trials.

No, Plumeria is not the champion. She's in charge of Team Skull. It's best to keep the champion hidden for the sake of enjoyment and surprise. Graphics did not improve, background aesthetics are drastically improved. It's more vibrant and feels more alive. Places such as Ten Carat Hill, the route with the powerplant gets major changes, trees gains flowers, etc. Guzma is a regular trainer who acts like a spy or a veteran of some sort between Aether and Skull. I can't fully describe it, though he gets a full team battle postgame. Colress is still in Battle Tree. He retains his role in the main story by giving you Flame Charge, but he stays in the hotel in that route afterwards.

Alolan Ponyta is significantly smaller than the regular Ponyta. Its body is white, "mane" in a dark blue shade and its fins white. Rapidash, on the other hand has a shorter body and has a longer tail than its pre-evolution. Its first half body is colored a lighter bluegreen, its second half white. The fins are darker blue, I think. The colors are very complicated I can't fully describe it in detail, but here are the designs from memory.

Gyms are located exactly on the open lots in towns from the original games. Most gym leaders are old trial captains. Two are new characters, Petunia and Akamu. Akamu is a Ground-type user. Elite Four retains the old characters from its predecessors. Victory Road is expanded through Lanakila Mountain's interior passage. No more Alolan forms other than those that I have listed. Not only Route 1 but most routes and mountains have enhanced background details. The color is more vibrant and alive. If you're asking if all Z-crystals were from Necrozma, no. Only the exclusive Z-crystal that is used to trigger Umbra Evolution. Poke Finder has not changed but more Pokemon will appear in certain places that were not native in the original games. Rare Pokemon such as Dhelmise and Mimikyu are still rare, encounter rates are not changed.
