Yea to me gen 3 was the epitome of pokemon. Gen 4 tried to make the game more complex with the phy/spe split (and it had its pros) but it wasn't as good as gen 3. It all went downhill from there.

None of this is true. Sun and Moon sold great, pokemon isn't in a state of decay.

I'm assuming you're getting that from the autistic echo chamber called /vp/. Everyone else enjoyed the games with minimal complaints.
And I'm pretty sure the newest Yokai Watch bombed, but I haven't heard anything about it in awhile (which should be an indicator to it not succeeding Pokemon)

And I play pokemon because it's fun. I've never been so nitpicky as the people on /vp/, I've just taken the games as they are and enjoyed them. I don't actively look for things to dislike about it.

Because is my favorite franchise. I had the bad luck of playing Pokémon competitively when I got W2 in 2013, and I think that both Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves are interesting additions, but the lack of facilities didn't supported them.

Right now I'm hyped for both Ultra Moon and Metroid II Remake, but my hype for Metroid is higher than Pokémon.
