Actually I guess it depends on if Silvally is Legendary or not.

Either way, it doesn't really need a Mega or signature Z-Move (especially because it got Burn Up this gen).

An Alola form would be cool, but again, Arcanine is a shining example of a Pokemon Gamefreak got right on the first try.

I wouldn't say it was forgotten, rather, it just never left our hearts.

I'm hoping if ride pokemon are still in USM and let's not kid ourselves they will be I'm just hoping we can get a ride arcanine. even faster than tauros, not sure what it's b function should be, but for the love of god don't make us hold it for the speed boost, my thumb is calloused from having to do that for breeding. Just have it accelerate, like the mach bike or something.

Ultra Beasts and Silvally are legendaries because the game says they're legendaries, end of discussion. So there's no need to call them out specifically once you've brought up legendary Pokemon.

It does unless you count Silvally, which has a BST of 570, or Archeops, which has a BST of 567. But you probably group both of those under gimmick so yeah.

Intimidate, Snarl, Will-o-Wisp, and Fairy-type resistance let it absolutely shut down a lot of popular attackers, making it great as a support Pokemon. But it can also go offensive with Band, LO, or Firium-Z and get key KOs on popular meta Pokemon while still having Intimidate to weaken physical sweepers. On top of that, you could even be an absolute madman and use Flash Fire to bait your opponent into wasting a turn and then get hit by a powerful Fire STAB. Arcanine can do anything well.

Actually, Arcanine is based off komainu, a sort of lion statue that is said to protect shrines. Komainu is often translated as "lion dog", so calling Arcanine a feline isn't entirely inaccurate.

That sums up Arcanine in a nutshell.

>No reason to use him in gen4 at all with all the dragons and TTar around and there were better checks to Scizor
>No reason to use him in gen5+ since there were better sun abusers, Lando-T was better at intimidate and Heatran/Chandelure were better at absorbing fire.
The only time he becomes "good" is if you ban a ton of other stuff that beats him or outclasses him like in VGC and Pokemmo.

Undeniably yes, and it being my fave pokemon since Yellow in no way makes me biased.
The literal only downside to Arcanine is that I feel the need to put it in all my teams when it's in the regional dex, which means I have to see it die in four out of five nuzlockes before I can even evolve it.
