All of these are either diverse in their move pool, or excel in doing/receiving damage in unique or diverse ways.

Steel makes a decent wall, but are floored by fire bullshit.
Poison is fun in how it does damage, and the designs are some of the best.
Normal has so many cool/weird moves. Defensive sucks, but they dish out weird damages.
Grass is the ultimate "impair you in to submission." type.
Ghost is my favorite design type. Mismagius is mai waifu.
