It's hard but really fair, the trainers are really good and it does justice to a lot of pokemon that are frankly shit.

It's pretty much a game that gives you a tough challenge but gives you a lot of tools to take on that challenge, like

>eevee before you even get pokeballs
>old rod from guide gent in cherrygrove
>one of each starter from each region early in the game
>a way to evolve your eevee after sprout tower
>shit tons of rare pokemon all over the place to train
>updated evos so you can get trade shit and stuff like it (Scizor, Glaceon, etc.)

the only problem with the hack in my mind is that HGSS are buggy as fuck games on emulators and so theres a lot of frustration in that regard

On my Sun nuzlocke (firsr of gen 7) and off to a fabulously lucky start. Got female Calm Popplio (male would've flimflamed my jimjams, but not too bad) and a Gentle female Pichu on route 1.

Of course, this probably means by my luck they'll both get crit'd soon, but hey. It's a good start.

Blazeblack 2 Challenge mode was the best nuzlocke of my life. Like a rollercoaster of getting my shit pushed in and then raising a few new tough little buggers over and over that did me proud until they inevitability fell.

I never had a nuzlocke team stronger and better well-rounded than I did before taking in Clay. And I never had a team more thoroughly and helplessly slaughtered than I did by his Excadrill.

Beat the sprout tower elder, his hoothoot is literal aids.
I also realized halfway up that half my team is weak to flying, so I got Glaceon's evolutionary item from the elder. Now time to grind until he gets a good ice move for faulkner.

I just have a little advice for templates! I would suggest using POWERPOINT instead of paint! It allows you to scale images without blurring them, and lets you move and edit without damaging the rest of the template. It makes posting updates significantly easier than using MSP. Candice has been taken down, but things did not go so smoothly. 4 Double Teams from her Frosslass lead to a rough time, and the death of Donald the Golduck. Thankfully my newest teammate, Anna the Mamoswine, came right out with a Crit Earthquake for the victory.

For those wondering about my Torterra, he's safe and sound. He's just been boxed, probably for the rest of the run. Besides the one Whiscash in the Elite 4, I don't see any reason to keep him around.

My Sun nuzlocke continues to roll with good fortune. Caught a Docile Yungoos in Haouli Outskirts and Hardy Magnemite in the Trainer's School. (Yes, I know they're listed under "Route 1" locations, but I consider them seperate enough areas to count) Yet to get a mon with an bad nature. Here's how I handle Safari Zones, personally: throw balls at everything that's doesn't trigger dupes clause. No bait, no rocks, no puffs, no blocks, no running. If it doesn't trigger dupes clause, chuck balls until you run out, or it flees. Once I've caught one (1) Pokémon, or run out of balls, I'm done there.

My Sun nuzlocke luck is starting to wane. Arrived in Haouli City, caught a female lax Wingull (Caw). Mr.Pinkhair almost killed my Magnemite & Yungoos, but pulled it off. Skipped the Cemetery catch to wait for daytime, as I don't want Misdreavus. Got lucky with the Berry Tree on Route 2 & got male Hyper Cutter Crabrawler (Creed), unfortunately he's Timid. He dealt with the first trial pretty easily though, & I got an mild male Diglett. Male Gentle Spearow (Jiit) on route 3, and then my good luck ran out.

That Mega Draining Petlil Rising Star killed my spunky little Wingull. First casualty. That Petlil hits like a tank. I just needed to land one. More. Wing attack. Shit's getting real finally. And finally caught an Impish Cottonee (Luftwaif) in the Meadow that I hope to never use.

Platinum Nuzlocker here. Decided to adopt a trip for Nuzgen in hopes that Nuzgen sticks around.

Training my team to 45 before I move on to continue the Team Galactic plot. I'm hoping to land everyone around 47-ish by the time I get to the Distortion World. If I successfully kill Cyrus and Giratina-O, it's off to the last gym, and then the Pokémon League.

I did decide to switch my team up a bit, since I'm having to train a new Water type anyway. Donald the Golduck's death lead to the addition of Mr. Winkie the Floatzel. Ichabod the Rotom and Jafar the Crobat were just starting to fall behind a bit, so I've decided to add Winifred the Gengar and Mickey the Pichu soon Raichu in their place.

Small update on my Pokémon Emerald nuzlocke. Everything has been great. I failed to catch a Lotad though, could have been a nice member of my team. Going to level up my Shroomish.

Godfuckingdammit. Having battle mode on Set makes all the difference.

After grinding my team to level 15 (and my new Drifloon I waited for daytime for to 16) I hit the Kahuna. Leading with Popplio that Mankey surprisingly Karate Chopped it to 13 HP with just 2 hits. Switched out to Drifloon because I figured another chop was coming, and I was right. But then his motherfucking Crabrawler came in and Pursuited him to death on the switch. Aftermath made it hurt, at least. My Spearow got some damage in before he KO'd her too. My Crabrawler took out his and took care of Makuhita.

I thought I was flying high at first, but 3 quick deaths in succession (to all of ny flying types I had) are bringing me down to earth. Now I really wish I hadn't botched that Zubat capture in Seaward cave. Time to Tauros charge the island and then off to Island 2.

Fuck my life. I've lost a shitton of main team pokes today, which means I've wasted an unholy amount of experience. That whore duo in Mossdeep got my beloved Absol (which actually lasted a whole 20 levels, they usually die on me in like three fights) and my psychopig on which I had wasted a whopping two TMs.
I've gotta shore up the team. What should I put in now?

Just caught a Buneary in Eterna Forest before that fuckin Chansey could egg bomb it to death. Klutz, but whatever. Now to grind in Eterna with my mobile pokemon center. I swear to god I better not see a shiny in this forest. I don't really have anything to quickly kill Chansey with.

You actually make a good case (7 resistances? I spent the whole run oneshotting them with my shockwave and psywave carrying pig, I thought they were jokes). I suppose I could look for a high level one in the routes I haven't got a catch yet. I've been repelling my way through the eastern searoutes, so I'm safe. I just need to find out where they are highest levelled I suppose. I'm not raising the level 5 one I have fished out of Dewford.
