Arceus is not Christian God or Silver Age Superman. It doesn't have any feats of cosmic level destruction. It has the power to create, and that's it. Its judgment thing is weaker than a fire blast.

I think part of the issue is that people conflate the anime and the games. Remember, the movie wanted to make it that *only* Arceus had enough power to take out that meteor, and it required the plates

This. Remember that Pokemon is a japanese creation. Arceus isn't God in the judeo-christian sense, it's God in a more japanese sense. It's a creation god, and its certainly powerful, but it's not omnipotent. Or even apparently omniscient, since in Jewel of Life it is easily lied to, deceived, and caught off-guard.

Heck, this is just conjecture, but it might not even have the raw power of Palkia and Dialga. Arceus' rampage in the same movie only caused physical damage, and not even that much of it, while Palkia and Dialga's fight was wearing away the fabric of reality purely as a side-effect.

All we actually KNOW about Arceus is that it's a really rare pokémon able to manipulate Unowns to create life. Or at least Dialga, Palkia or Giratina in some kind of satanic circle.
Cyrus says Dialga and Palkia can recreate the universe but not much is shown to support that claim. And Giratina lives in another dimension but that's all besides being able to travel between both.
Everything else is legend-tier (until sinnoh remakes anyway).
That's all about them in canon games at least.
