/vp/ I'm starting a new run of PMD Red rescue team. And I want to know
Who's the best partner for Cuvone?
>>32813713
Torchic everytime
>>32813729
If only Tepig x Oshawott was in RT
>Using Cubone as your starter
Enjoy every boss being immune to your damage
>>32813713
Since Cubone can learn both Flamethrower and Ice Beam, you really only need coverage against water-types. Bulbasaur is a good choice because it can't be poisoned.
>>32813838
i'd go with a different grass type in case you find an earthquake tm, so they wouldn't die every time you use it
>>32813713
Pikachu's literally the best pick.
Agility is disgustingly good when you're moving four times your speed and can attack like a god, Thunder Wave's Paralysis is so good at freezing your opponents and keeping them stun-locked, Thunderbolt's always powerful a stab, Quick Attack's an easy ranged attack.
Not picking Pikachu, knowing that, is practically autistic.
...Well, except for when you're picking Cubone.
>>32813713
Charmander is good. It learns Smokescreen which makes most bosses irrelevant, not to mention Flamethrower and in case you intend to evole it later on. Immunity to Ground (So your Partner can use EQ) and Heat Wave (Room Hitting)
>>32813893
You shouldn't be using EQ with a partner to begin with, especially since you'll eventually reach a point where it one-shots just about everything regardless of effectiveness.
If you're that worried about Monster Houses, Bonemerang is usually good enough. Meganium is an ok 2nd pick, but doesn't get Frenzy Plant like Venusaur. Sceptile doesn't get FP or Razor Leaf...
