It was for the best, honestly, now no one can go around feeling cool because they have deoxys and only based owners of shiny deoxys can do that, feels good. Not that it means anything since as >>32801259 said nothing was ever worth anything.
In fact, I hope they make arceus, manaphy or some other event a regular legendary so I can dangle my shiny ones in front of people.
