Go to Poké Pelago and make Pokémon to find Shards. If you have 30 shards of the same color an old man inside of Festival Plaza's castle will trade them for a Bottle Cap.

Leveling isn't even the hell, the hell is Lv. 90+. Max out your Pokémon's affection with Rainbow PokéBeans so they get the same experienve as outsiders Pokémon, then in Festival Plaza get a Rare Kitchen, it levels up Pokémon but if that Pokémon is Lv. 79 or less it levels up 7 levels (Lv. 89 or less it levels up 9 levels but only in Sun)

Is there an actual point for the bottle caps? I thought that if you use them to max a pokemon's IVs it's only a 'cosmetic' change - and that breeding or transferring them to a future game will use the original IVs.

Level your pokémon to level 66 first; that doesn't take long at all.

You need 2x 5* Rare Kitchens and 2x Rare Candies. (you can do it with one Rare Kitchen but it will take longer)

Take your level 66 pokémon to the first Rare Kitchen and have the rare dinner to get to Lv73, then go to the other rare kitchen and have the other rare dinner to get to Lv80. Now have the rare buffet to get to Lv89, then go back to your other Rare Kitchen and have the other rare buffet to get to Lv98. Finish of the last two levels with the rare candies.

Remember, you have to do it rare dinner>rare dinner>rare buffet>rare buffet You can't do rare dinner then rare buffet as then you'll be over the max level allowed to have the other rare dinner.

Once you are already level 66 this process of getting to Lv100 takes 2 minutes, provided you have the rare kitchens and FC needed already.

2-star treasure hunt costs only 100fc when you dont already have one on your plaza.... so buying ANY 1star building (to replace 2-star treasure hunt) and then rebuying 2-star treasure hunt would only cost you 150fc instead of 200 (because the price doubles if there is already one on your plaza)

Man, use the find shards thing on Poképelago and get several lotteries. I have 1 5-star, 2 4-star and 1 2-star. I usually get 1 Bottle Cap at least every other day.
If you need a bunch of them desperately, then (if you have a lot of FC) use the 2-star lottery exploit (someone already explained it here).

around 200 festival coins gets you a bottle cap with the festival plaza exploit, you should be drowning in festival coins unless you are too lazy to do global missions.

Wait for USUM which will undoubtedly have an easier way of obtainin bottle caps, just like every enhanced version usually does.
