No, it's standard Normal in GSC. Snorlax is Uber in all but name, Miltank and Blissey are excellent walls/supporters, Porygon2 can be a secondary Curse sweeper, Smeargle is always useful and Girafarig makes sure Fighting-types don't shit all over the team.

Wishful thinking. I also prefer the levels to increase as opposed to the number of pokémon. At least the early battles won't be over in two turns. Every E4 should have 5 pokémon at least, anything else is a disgrace. Looking at you gen V and VI.

Thematically, switch Ice and Ghost types. Dragon/Dark/Psychic/Ghost works better, and so does Ice/Steel/Rock/Bug. Shit, you could then switch Bug and Ground for Ice/Steel/Rock/Ground and Poison/Bug/Fighting/Flying.

Ice is a special type, Ghost is a physical. The order is not random, but highly thought out.

Steelix, Magneton, Skarmory, and the entire Bug team are weak to Fire.

First of all, Ghost and Dragon had to be at the beginning at a path, since they have only two evolutionary lines each. Both Hidden Power Ghost and Hidden Power Dragon result from a Defense DV of 14, so I put that on the end. The other two hidden powers from a Defense DV of 14 are Grass and Poison. So far, so good. Each path corresponds to an Attack DV as well; for instance, the four Hidden Powers that arise from an Attack DV of 13 are Steel, Ghost, Bug and Rock.
